Damaris Edey is a Manchester-based, self-taught visual artist of Caribbean heritage, known for her vibrant, bold portraits celebrating the beauty, strength and individuality of Black women.

Through expressive mixed media, finished with oils, she explores emotion, identity and the complexities of life. Rich colours and layered textures create depth, reflecting the chaos and beauty of our existence.

Inspired by the powerful women who shaped her life, Damaris creates work that celebrates Black beauty, self-love and resilience, bringing positivity and empowerment into the world, one piece at a time.
